Seeing double?

Eyes playing tricks on you? Digital trickery?

I'll tell you the story about this picture another day.
In the mean time, its your turn to tell me your comments and what you think...

Before and after

We had the chance to bring Dazzle to be groomed today(finally!). We decided we're not going to let her go thru the agony of getting her hair plucked.

Well now, she's looks almost naked.. haha..

It wasn't so funny when she was at the groomer's. I'm sure to her, it was nothing short of traumatizing and humiliating. Dazzle, being so used to being the Princess of the house was most certainly whining and whimpering throughout the whole process.

Ah well, we're glad we got her groomed. She looks much neater now, don't you agree?

Dazzle's latest new friend

Introducing.... THE MOP HEAD.

It's Dazzle's latest best friend. Dazzle's seemed to have a great affection towards Mr. Mop Head. Everywhere Mr. Mop Head goes, she goes. She practically likes to ride on Mr. Mop Head and be swiped across the floor along with it.

See how affectionate she is:

Mr. Mop Head gets soaked in strange pail every once in a while. Dazzle looks intently. Saving Mr. Mop Head from the treacherous pail is not worth getting herself wet, she figured.

Dear Mr. Mop Head, lets play!!!

Tooth fairy?

Where's the tooth fairy? I think Dazzle's teething. The front row of her lower teeth are missing! And guess what we found on the floor?

So, i guess very soon my furniture is going to meet her wrath...
"Bo Gae"

Yum yum.. nice chew bone...

Dazzle, who are you waiting for? Must be someone nice...

Pungolia - first encounter with grassland

Yesterday was a fun day out at Pungolia for both Dazzle and Enzo.

This was also Dazzle's first encounter with grassland... the way she runs and leaps on grassland is simply.... comical.. haha..

Lovely shot

Running free!

Posing for the 300mm lens

Finally, Dazzle got "alpha-ed"by Enzo

Longest day of Dazzle's life

Yesterday (Saturday) was probably the longest day in Dazzle's life so far.

Her day started with lots of hopping and running around at home at 7am after breakfast and by 9am, we were walking her downstairs near the park (for the first time!). This was the first time Dazzle's tiny paws felt warm ground and she sure was excited, albeit a little short lived. We didn't want to scare her so the walk lasted barely 15mins.

Well, there's a good reason why we decided to bring Dazzle for a walk yesterday morning. Saturday is Bathing Day!

Dazzle's a brave girl. Never made any noises or cause much problems while bathing. Though it no longer seemed traumatic for her, she's still a little apprehensive about getting wet once a week.

She sure looked funny when shes wet!

Yesterday, we tried to put her on a 3KG kitchen scale.
The last time we weighed her was about 4 weeks ago at the vet. She was 2.5KG then. So, we figured that as long as we can get her on top of that kitchen scale, it should do just fine in measuring her weight.
It wasn't an easy task.
Getting Dazzle to stand (or sit) on an unsteady surface proved to be almost impossible until we put her on a basket then on the scale.
Even then, it didn't seem to work. The scale showed 800g (less than 1KG). Was the scale faulty or what?
We, being highly intelligent beings, quickly (after no more than 5mins) noticed that the scale had actually completed 1 round.
That means Dazzle is at least 3.5KG to 4KG now.
What a surprise! Dazzle has grown!!!
I know i said we are highly intelligent beings but at that point of time, we just screamed with joy.
Well, Dazzle just stared straight as us, having just gone thru a traumatic off-balanced weighing experience and now having to handle 2 idiots who got so elated out of no apparent reason.
Like i said, it was a long day for her. We've had so much play and fun together.
Dazzle got tired and didn't waste any chances to catch some sleep whenever she can.

The best ball toy in the world

Dazzle's got a new ball toy! One that has a tasty dog biscuit stuffed into it. Nothing beats a fragrant, tasty lamb biscuit smelling ball.

The catch is, the biscuit is trapped inside the ball and is so near yet so far! Can see, can smell, can taste (a little bit) but cannot have it.

Maybe the biscuit was too big. It was never coming out, no matter how hard poor Dazzle works for her treat. Lilian felt for her and broke the biscuit into 2 pieces so hopefully, it comes out easier.
Even when it was broken into 2 pieces, getting it out of the ball is still not an easy task. One that Dazzle almost wanted to give up.

Got to stop the ball before it gets into the restricted zone!!!

Oh dear... I know i'm not allowed under the couch... what should i do?

The ball was fun for Dazzle and even more entertaining for us to see her work for her treat without tiring outselves... hiak hiak hiak..... *evil grin*
Lilian gave in soon after seeing Dazzle trying so hard to get her prize. She took out the biscuits and gave it to Dazzle. That's cheating i say...

Disaster...

This picture was taken this evening at about 7.30pm when i just reached home.

We learned something new today. Whatever that can be destroyed, will be destroyed.

Shredded newspapers from the pee tray (with pee on it by the way!!), torn clothes, poo at all corners inside the cage AND outside.

We're just glad that she is enclosed in a play pen. I can't imagine what will happen if she has the full run of the house for the whole day.

Couch Potato

Yesterday evening was cold. Dazzle obviously was seeking some warmth and she was so so punctured by 10pm.

She still can't jump up to the sofa yet so we carried her up and almost immediately, she made the whole sofa her bed.

Many days ago when we first let her up the sofa, she was very concerned about the height and was carefully checking out the edges of the sofa to see if there is a safe and not bone-breaking way to get down. Now, she's completely at home and satisfied with being on the warm sofa.

I'm sure getting down the sofa was the last thing on her mind.

Dazzle's new friend

Dazzle's got a new soft toy Penguin! Penguin is much more portable than Dino.

We've noticed how she likes to carry Penguin to somewhere near us and lay down with it but when it comes to sleeping time, she still prefers the cuddly Dino.

Hope that she wouldn't murder Penguin like she did to Dino...

Dazzle: I am only playing with Penguin now! Oh ok.. you caught my attention...

Baby pics

Thanks to Josephine and Peter, we finally have some baby pictures of Dazzle!!

She's the biggest pup of her litter.

Fun with Dino

Dino never cease to catch Dazzle's attention, the same way food does.
She always returns Dino to her bed...

Dazzle is growing...

This video is a reminder to us that Dazzle baby is growing!! When she first came, there was no way she could have carried Dino in her mouth and taken a single step without tripping head over heels.

Looking at her everyday, i just can't tell and can't believe that she is actually less of a puppy with the passing of each day. I'm sure she's taller and bigger now...

She never cease to amaze us every few days with new behaviours. She is much better behaved these days and doesn't disturb us so much when we are having our meals.

If i'm sitting down somewhere doing my things, she contents herself by bringing her Dino to somewhere near me and lies down patiently for her time with me.

Hope she grows up to be healthy and happy!

The princess's new bed and The Invasion of Enzo's Den

Dazzle's got a posh new bed for the new Lunar New Year! Maybe its too plushed and warm, she still prefers to lay flat on the cold floor tiles.
Dazzle couldn't wait to give Dino a good hug and chew. She hasn't been sleeping with Dino for many nights. Too bad for her, Dino just had its neck surgically reconnected after being murdered by Dazzle a few days ago.

We brought Dazzle to Enzo's home and let them socialize a little. This time, Dazzle is less frightened of Gigantic Enzo. Its a good sign, both dogs are starting to play with each other. Dazzle seemed a little shy to play with Enzo though, not sure if it is shyness or fear of the big and furry Enzo monster.

Enzo, getting into his usual gentle "kor kor"role, didn't seem to mind sharing his favourite soft toy and chew bones with Dazzle.

Well, Dazzle wasn't exactly very angelic about "borrowing"Enzo's soft toy anyway.
I'm sure they will be really best of friends in the near future but for now, its time to go home. Dazzle completely knocked out on our way home in the car. Can't wait to see how things will work out the next time Enzo and Dazzle meets.
